Argela joined ON.Lab and is actively participating two major projects, Open Network Operating System (ONOS) and Central Office Re-architected as a Datacenter (CORD).

Bülent Kaytaz visited ON.Lab in May 2016 to see the latest developments in the Argela USA-ON.Lab collaboration in person. He met with Dr. Guru Parulkar, the Executive Director of ON.Lab and Consulting Professor of electrical engineering at Stanford University as well as representatives from AT&T, Verizon and SK Telecom.
ON.Lab is a non-profit organization that aims to develop SDN and NFV-based tools and platforms for networks of different sizes and applications. The two major ON.Lab projects are ONOS – Open Network Operating System and CORD – Central Office Re-architected as a Datacenter. Argela is actively participating in both projects. The CORD project has various flavors for different markets. In M-CORD, which is pursuing an SDN and NFV based platform for 5G deployment, Argela has partnered with other ON.Lab participants: AT&T, Verizon, SK Telecom, Cavium, and Radisys. Argela is integrating ProgRAN, its programmable RAN architecture to M-CORD in this partnership. The ProgRAN integrated M-CORD will be ready in June 2016 and an Argela, AT&T, Verizon, SK Telecom, Cavium and Radisys joint demo will be presented at the Mobile World Congress China.

At the Small Cell World Summit in London, Argela presents its ProgRAN RAN Slicing architecture for 4G and 5G radio access nodes. The platform independent ProgRAN software creates dynamic and programmable RAN slices that could be utilized for flexible services. Argela has partnered with Cavium and demonstrates its ProgRAN technology on the Cavium’s cloud RAN platform.

Argela’nın TILAS Projesi Celtic-Plus Akıllı Şehirler için Mükemmelliyet Ödülüne layık görüldü

Argela’nın da ortakları arasında olduğu AB Projesi TILAS – Geniş Ölçekli Akıllı Şehir Kurulumları için Yeni Teknolojiler – “Celtic-Plus Akıllı Şehirler için Mükemmelliyet Ödülüne” layık görüldü.

2015 sonlarında tamamlanan TILAS projesi, IoT – Nesnelerin İnterneti – cihazlarının geniş ölçekli akıllı şehir ortamlarında kurulumlarının kolaylaştırılması için çözümler üretmiştir. Projenin geliştirdiği teknolojiler arasında yenilikçi bir IoT veri soyutlama altyapısı, yeni uçtan-uca güvenli cihaz modelleri, eniyilenmiş özel cihaz kutuları, uzaktan çok geniş ölçekte cihaz yazılımı güncellemelerinin yönetimi ve büyük veri üzerinde çalışan bulut servisleri sayılabilir. Geliştirilen bu teknolojiler Santander, Paris, Grenoble ve Seul’da kurulan farklı test ortamlarında gösterilmiştir.

TILAS projesi 4 farklı ülkeden gelen 9 ortaklı bir kurul tarafından yürütülmüştür: İspanya (TST, TTI, Bankoi), Fransa (Gemalto, UPEC, CEA-LETI, Webdyn), Türkiye (Argela) and Güney Kore (Pangaea).

Argela’s TILAS Project is awarded by Celtic-Plus Excellence Award for Smart Cities

EU Project TILAS – Technology Improvements for Large Scale Smart Cities Deployments – which Argela was one of the contributors is awarded by “Celtic-Plus Excellence Award for Smart Cities”.

TILAS project, completed in late 2015, has developed solutions to enable the deployment of IoT – Internet of Things – devices to large-scale smart cities environments. The breakthroughs achieved by the project include an innovative IoT data abstraction framework, new models of end-to-end security devices, customized optimal enclosures, management of massive remote firmware upgrades, and cloud base services exploiting large amount of data. All these results have been validated on different test-bed deployments in Santander, Paris, Grenoble and Seoul.

TILAS project is run by a consortium of 9 partners coming from 4 different countries: Spain (TST, TTI, Bankoi), France (Gemalto, UPEC, CEA-LETI, Webdyn), Turkey (Argela) and South Korea (Pangaea).
