Argela Attended the 2nd IEEE Conference on Network Softwarization (IEEE NetSoft 2016) in Seoul, Korea



Argela attended the 2nd IEEE Conference on Network Softwarization (IEEE NetSoft 2016), which is held in Seoul, Korea on 6-10 June 2016, and presented its two academic papers accepted by the conference committee. NetSoft 2016 focuses on the theme, “Softwarization of Networks, Clouds, and Internet of Things,” presenting recent, emerging approaches and technical solutions for dealing with future softwarized networks, clouds, and IoT infrastructures, as well as with novel services provided on top of these infrastructures. During the conference, key technologies that pave the way to 5G have been discussed through paper presentations, poster sessions, demos, and expert panels. Software-Defined Networks (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Service Function Chaining (SFC), Mobile Edge Computing (MEC), Software-Defined Radio Access Networks (SDRAN), Cloud and Fog Computing are among the key enabler technologies that have been addressed in the conference. The papers that have been written by Argela are on the management of SDN control plane performance and energy efficient traffic routing in SDN.
